T or C Elementary and T or C Middle School named high-performing schools by NM PED.

Truth or Consequences, NM—Rep. Rebecca Dow (Grant, Hidalgo, and Sierra) congratulated two Truth or Consequences schools for earning overall “A” grades in their latest review by the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED).

The two schools, T or C Elementary and T or C Middle School, were listed among the top 100 high performing schools in New Mexico. T or C Elementary was also commended by PED for making exceptional gains over last year’s performance. T or C Elementary improved its rating by an impressive four grades, moving from an “F” grade last year to an “A” this year.

“This is wonderful news for T or C,” Dow said. “We have outstanding teachers in our community, and these grades reflect their hard work and dedication to our students. By supporting each other—teachers, students, parents, and community members—we can continue making progress in improving the opportunities available to our children and ensuring every child has the skills needed to succeed in life.”
